The Feet First Podiatry staff is made up of professional podiatrists trained in all aspects of foot care. Our staff focus on offering advice and excellent service for healthier feet. For 100% customer service, we stay up-to-date with modern podiatry procedures, and believe we can serve you better by providing the safest treatment possible.

All our staff are highly skilled health professionals trained to deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Charlotte Russell

B.Sc. (Hons), Dip. Pod. (NZ) NZ Reg.Pod

Charlotte has been a Podiatrist since 1983 and is the Owner and Director of Feet First Podiatry. Having studied in Wellington and the University of Brighton (UK) for her Post Graduate BSc, Charlotte went on to study the management of the diabetic foot with a Winston Churchill Scholarship in 1995. Charlotte previously worked for 13 years as a Senior Podiatrist at the Christchuch Diabetes Centre, alongside her practice, formerly Charlotte Russell Podiatry which was started over 20 years ago, to Feet First Podiatry which was formed in 2002. 

Andrew Hawkey

BHSc.Pod NZ Reg.Pod

Andrew joined Feet First Podiatry in 2006. Andrew trained in Wellington, graduating in 2001, and spent time in both Private and Hospital practice in Queenstown and Invercargill. Outside of Feet First Podiatry, Andrew enjoys playing Squash and follows New Zealand sports scene.   

Erin Marsden

BSc(Pod), NZ Reg. Pod

Erin qualified in Western Australia in 2004, working across Australia in both the hospital and private sectors. She moved to NZ with her Cantabrian husband in 2010 to begin practicing in Christchurch; they live near Oxford with their 2 children. Her previous hospital based work focused on the high risk foot, and child development. Private practice work includes customised orthotics and palliative care. Erin enjoys looking after their many farm animals, mountain trekking on her horse, and not discussing Australia vs NZ sporting events

Madi Wylie

BHSc(POD),NZ Reg. Pod

Madi is not only new to Feet First Podiatry but to Christchurch.  Hailing from the Auckland area, probably best not to ask her directions in Christchurch, well at least just not yet.  Though this won’t last for long as Madi is a quick study! If you are a member of Les Mills you might be lucky enough to see Madi there.  She was a group fitness instructor for 2 years while in Auckland and will be continuing instructing in her off time. Madi enjoys walking (she is obsessed with getting her 10 thousand steps a day) and taking time out of the day to get some fresh air.  

Emma Hibbert


Emma is our new Christchurch local well kind of (born in England and raised in Christchurch).  She is our newest member to Feet First Podiatry.  Emma is friendly, outgoing and ready to help with any issue she can.   Emma will happily arrange your appointment bookings for you.  

Courtney Rhodes

Practice Manager

Courtney joined the Feet First Podiatry team in late August 2016 and is the Practice Manager. Courtney is originally from the USA, married a Kiwi and now resides in Christchurch. Courtney helps handle the administration side of the business and is happy to assist with any of your enquiries.
